What are Sweets???

The question of the day or maybe the year is what are "Sweets"? Well I have an answer for you guys. Sweets are usually sugary desert like foods such as candies, chocolates, pastries and cakes. Usually they are called sweets since they taste sweet. Sweets from all over the world come in diffrents sizes, shapes and textures. For example, France is known for Macarons whereas Italy is known for their Tiramisu and Thailand is known for Mango Sticky Rice. As you can see all these contries have their respective "sweets" however they are vastly all diffrent. Sweets and Deserts are not a new subject or cusine however they date back hundreds upon hundreds of years which evolved with trade routes. Sweets started off as being fruit and honey based as the years went on and sugar became more avaiable sweets begin to change from fruits to candies. As we learned to refine sugar better sweets became a thing for the wealthy as they were able to afford the expensive comoddity known as "sugar". As the innovation became better and refined sugar became easier to come by mass manafacturing of candies and chocolates came about for the masses to enjoy.
